A Representative from Minnesota. Born in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk County, Iowa, March 20, 1951. Graduated from Cedar Falls High School, Cedar Falls, Iowa. B. A. , University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, 1973. Worldwide College of Auctioneering (Iowa), 1978. Member of the Minnesota state house of representatives, 1982-1994. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Fourth and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1995-January 3, 2007). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Tenth Congress in 2006.
