Biography
A Representative from Idaho. Born in Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, May 3, 1942. Graduated from St. Teresa's Academy, Boise, Idaho, 1962. . B. A. , College of Idaho (now Alberston College of Idaho), Caldwell, Idaho, 1967. Idaho Army National Guard, 1968-1973. Member of the Idaho state house of representatives, 1972-1976. Business executive. Idaho state lieutenant governor, 1987-2001. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Seventh and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-January 3, 2007). Was not a candidate for reelection to the United States House of Representatives in 2006. Governor of Idaho, 2007-2019.
