Harry Reid

Elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-eighth Congress in 1982. Reelected to the Ninety-ninth Congress and served from January 3, 1983, to January 3, 1987. Was not a candidate for reelection in 1986 to the House of Representatives, but was elected to the United States Senate in 1986. Reelected in 1992, 1998, 2004 and again in 2010, and served from January 3, 1987, to January 3, 2017. Was a resident of Henderson, Nev. , until his death on December 28, 2021. Lay in state in the Rotunda of the U. S. Capitol, January 12, 2022. Interment in Searchlight Cemetery, Searchlight, Nev.
