Summary

The Act makes an EMS Program Fund and changes the name of a committee. The Act tells OHA to make minimum education requirements for EMS providers. The Act also makes a subcommittee. (Flesch Readability Score: 61.1). Establishes the Emergency Medical Services Program Fund. Changes the name of the Pediatric Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee to the Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Committee. Directs the Oregon Health Authority to establish by rule minimum educational requirements for licensure as an emergency medical services provider. <b>Prohibits a person from using certain titles or initials unless the person is licensed at a level that corresponds to the title or initials. </b>Becomes operative on January 1, 2027. Establishes the Long Term Care and Senior Care Emergency Medical Services Advisory Subcommittee within the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee to provide advice and recommendations to the committee on issues related to long term care and senior care. Becomes operative on January 1, 2029. Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment sine die.
