Member of the Bethel, Alaska, city council. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress, by special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative Donald Edwin Young, and reelected to the succeeding Congress (August 16, 2022-January 3, 2025). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Nineteenth Congress in 2024.
