A Senator from Nebraska. Born in Lincoln, Neb. , March 1, 1951. Graduated University of Nebraska, B. S. , 1988. Rancher. Valentine Rural High School Board of Education 1990-2004. Nebraska Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education 2000-2004. Nebraska Unicameral Legislature 2005-2012. Elected as a Republican to the United States Senate in 2012 for the term commencing January 3, 2013. Reelected in 2018 and again in 2024 for the term ending January 3, 2031.
