S. , Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind. , 1969. Ph. D. , University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky. , 1975. United States Army, 1969-1972. Farmer. Small business owner. Commissioner, Putnam County, Ind. , 2006-2010. Member of the Indiana general assembly, 2010-2018. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Sixteenth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2019-present).
