A. , Arizona State University, Tempe, Ariz, 1999. Lawyer, private practice. Member of the Arizona state house of representatives, 2003-2011. Member of the Arizona state senate, 2011-2016, majority leader, 2011-2012, president, 2013-2016. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Fifteenth and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2017-present). One of the managers appointed by the House of Representatives in 2024 to conduct the impeachment proceedings of Alejandro N. Mayorkas, United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
