A. , Butte College, Oroville, Calif. , 1980. B. S. , California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Calif. , 1982. Rice farmer. Member of the California state assembly, 2002-2008. Member of the California state senate, 2010-2012. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Thirteenth and to the six succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2013-present).
