D. , University of Washington, Seattle, Wash. , 1995. Lawyer, private practice. Member of the Idaho state house of representatives, 2006-2010. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress in 2018, but was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination as Governor of Idaho. Idaho state attorney general, 2023-present.
