Attended Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, Pa. Professional athlete. Business owner. Member of the Hazleton, Pa. , city council, 1998-2000. Mayor of Hazleton, Pa. , 2000-2010. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress in 2018, but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate. Unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Pennsylvania in 2022.
