A resolution expressing the sense of the Senate that public servants should be commended for their dedication and continued service to the United States during Public Service Recognition Week.

Supports the designation of the week of May 5-May 11, 2013, as Public Service Recognition Week. Commends government employees for their contributions and their dedication to and spirit for public service.

Honors government employees who have given their lives in service to their country.

Calls upon a new generation to consider a career in public service as an honorable profession. Encourages efforts to promote public service careers at all levels of government.
