Summary

Directs the Secretary of the Army to convey to the Commissioners of Chatham County, Georgia, a specified parcel of land located on Hutchinson Island, adjacent to the Savannah Harbor Tide Gate structure, for recreational purposes or for exchange for another parcel of equal appraised value that shall be managed for recreational purposes.

Waives provisions requiring that such property be screened for further Federal use before conveyance.

Provides that the County shall: (1) be responsible for conveyance costs, including real estate transaction and environmental compliance costs; (2) hold the United States harmless from any liability with respect to activities carried out on such property after conveyance; and (3) provide to the Secretary all required rights of entry or easements necessary for utilities and for access to the Savannah Harbor Tide Gate structure and the adjacent dock.
