Expresses appreciation to the Government and people of Australia for the support given to the United States in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Pays tribute to the relationship between the United States and Australia. Reaffirms: (1) the U.S. commitment to its alliance with Australia under the ANZUS Treaty; and (2) the importance of security cooperation and commitments, and the trade and economic relationship, between the United States and Australia. Expresses strong support for continued close cooperation between the two countries on economic and security issues in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
