Summary

Welcomes President Chen Shui-bian of Taiwan upon his visit to the United States. Requests that he communicate to the Taiwanese people the support of Congress and the people of the United States. Recognizes his visit as another significant opportunity to broaden and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the United States and Taiwan.
