Summary

This bill would prohibit operators of commercial motor vehicles from operating a commercial motor vehicle within Wyoming if the operator is unable to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. This bill would impose a fine of $1,000 on any operator of a commercial motor vehicle who violates the English language proficiency requirement and would prohibit that operator from operating a commercial motor vehicle until the operator is able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. This bill would subject any operator of a commercial motor vehicle who operates a commercial motor vehicle under the imposed prohibition to a misdemeanor and a fine of $1,000.
