Summary

T he Tennessee l ocal l and b ank p rogram authorizes a ny local government to create a corporation that is authorized to operate a land bank within the jurisdictional boundaries of the local government establishing the corporation. As used in such law, a "local government"" means any of the following:  The municipalities of Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, Johnson City, Oak Ridge, Mt. Juliet, East Ridge, Clinton, Red Bank, Sevierville, Sweetwater, Lenoir City, Etowah, Whitwell, Kingsport, and Cleveland.  The counties of Blount, Sevier, Davidson, Moore, Trousdale, Hardeman. This bill adds Clarksville and Montgomery County to the local governments that can operate a land bank."
