AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 43; Title 44 and Title 53, relative to livestock raised in this state.
ON MARCH 23, 2026, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2652, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 r ewrites this bill to require the department of agriculture to promulgate rules to implement and administer a voluntary program for the promotion of meat and byproducts from livestock raised in Tennessee , which may be labeled with an appropriate statement that indicates the meat or byproduct is a Tennessee meat or byproduct .
