Summary

Education on Congenital Cytomegalovirus; Requires DOH, in consultation with medical experts identified by department, to develop educational materials on congenital cytomegalovirus for distribution to expectant & new parents & caregivers; provides requirements for such educational materials; requires certain hospitals, birth centers, & obstetrics & gynecology physician practices to provide educational materials to such parents & caregivers; requires department to provide educational materials to child care facilities; requires licensing boards of certain health care practitioners, beginning on specified date, to require such practitioners to complete board-approved course on congenital cytomegalovirus as part of initial licensure & every other licensure renewal; specifies requirements for course; requires such health care practitioners to submit confirmation of having completed course in specified manner; requires boards to include hour required for completion of course in total hours of continuing education required for such profession, with exception; authorizes person holding two or more licenses subject to continuing education requirement to show proof of completion of course for purposes of relicensure for additional licenses; provides for disciplinary action.
