This Amendment to Senate Bill No. 254 makes several changes to the State Farmland Valuation Advisory Committee. First, the Amendment increases the length of a Committee member's initial term from 3 to 4 years. Second, the Amendment increases the number of additional terms a Committee member may serve from 1 to 2. Third, the Amendment provides that the Committee shall meet once every 6 months, rather than once every quarter. Fourth and finally, the Amendment adds "qualified farm structures"" to the list of categories for which the Committee is required to review its valuation formula and methodology utilized to determine the ranges of fair value."
