George Santos

A Representative from New York. Born on July 22, 1988. Unsuccessful candidate for election to the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress in 2020. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress (January 3, 2023-December 1, 2023). Per H. Res. 878, expelled from the U. S. House of Representatives on December 1, 2023, for filing false or incomplete reports with the Federal Election Commission, using campaign funds for personal purposes, engaging in fraudulent conduct, and engaging in violations of the Ethics in Government Act. Convicted on April 25, 2025, of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Sentenced to federal prison, fined, and ordered to pay restitution.
