A Representative from New Hampshire. Born in Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, Pa. , May 1, 1957. Attended public schools in Meredith and Laconia, N. H. B. A. , Yale University, New Haven, Conn. , 1979. Architect. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Second and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 1991-January 3, 1995). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Fourth Congress in 1994. Unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 1996. United States Ambassador to Denmark, 1998-2001.
