J. D. , Samford University, Birmingham, Ala. Lawyer, private practice. Member of the Florida state house of representatives, 2000-2008. Elected as a Republican to the One Hundred Twelfth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Sixteenth Congress in 2018.
