A Representative from Arkansas. Born in Texarkana, Miller County, Ark. , on August 2, 1961. Graduated from Hope High School, Hope, Ark. , 1979. B. A. , University of Arkansas, Little Rock, Ark. , 1987. Businessman. Staff, lieutenant governor of Arkansas, 1985-1989. Member of the Arkansas state senate, 1991-2000. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventh and to the five succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-January 3, 2013). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress in 2012.
