Biography
A Representative from Indiana. Born in Covington, Fountain County, Ind. , February 8, 1927. Graduated from Covington High School, Covington, Ind. , 1945. B. S. , Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Ind. , 1951. United States Army, 1945-1946. Cashier and trust officer with The Fountain Trust Co. , Covington, Ind. , 1952-1966. Farmer, Fountain County, Ind. Elected as a Republican to the Ninetieth and to the fourteen succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1967-January 3, 1997). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Fifth Congress in 1996. Died on January 27, 2015, in Covington, Ind. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington, Ind.
