Biography
A Representative from Rhode Island. Born in Providence, Providence County, R. I. , April 22, 1964. B. A. , Rhode Island College, Providence, R. I. , 1990. M. P. A. , Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. , 1994. Member of the Rhode Island state house of representatives, 1988-1994. Rhode Island secretary of state, 1994-2001. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Seventh and to the ten succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2001-January 3, 2023). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Eighteenth Congress in 2022.
