A Representative from Colorado. Born in Pueblo, Pueblo County, Colo. , August 19, 1941. Graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School, 1959. Attended Pueblo Junior College, Pueblo, Colo. , 1960-1962. B. S. , Adams State College, Alamosa, Colo. , 1964. Graduate work, University of Denver, 1965. Clerk's office, Pueblo County, 1964-1973. Paralegal aide, 1974-1978. Member of the Colorado state house of representatives, 1969-1970. Member of the Colorado state senate, 1971-1978, minority leader, 1973-1978. Delegate, Colorado State Democratic conventions, 1966-1979. Elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-sixth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1979-January 3, 1985). Did not seek reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress in 1984. Died on April 30, 2017, in Pueblo, Colo. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, Colo.
