Biography
A Representative from Pennsylvania. Born in Canton, Stark County, Ohio, September 23, 1951. Graduated Meyersdale High School, 1969. Television news reporter, Altoona, Pa. , and Pittsburgh, Pa. , 1978-1993. Member, Youngwood, Pa. , volunteer fire department. Board member, Forbes Road Vocational Technical School, Monroeville, Pa. Partner, Dagwood's Restaurant. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Third and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1993-January 3, 2001). Was not a candidate for reelection to the United States House of Representatives, but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate in 2000.
