Was not a candidate for renomination to the One Hundred Third Congress in 1992. United States Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, 1993-1994. Died on October 2, 1994, in Birmingham, Ala. Interment in Memory Hill Gardens, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
