A. , University of Wisconsin, Madison, 1973. Graduated, Brown School of Broadcasting, Minneapolis, Minn. , 1974. Served in the Wisconsin State house of representatives, 1975-1979. Legislative director for Representative Toby Roth, Washington, D. C. , 1979-1980. Delegate, Wisconsin State Republican conventions, 1974-1980. Elected as a Republican to the Ninety-seventh and to the seven succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1981-January 3, 1997). Was not a candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Fifth Congress.
