Associate director, Cleveland Works, 1987-1989. Campaign manager and transition director for Mayor Michael R. White of Cleveland. Ohio State senator, 1991-1993. Elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Third Congress (January 3, 1993-January 3, 1995). Unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the One Hundred Fourth Congress.
