Chester G. Atkins

A Representative from Massachusetts. Born in Geneva, Switzerland, April 14, 1948. Was graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School, Concord, Mass. , in 1966 and Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, in 1970. Member of the Massachusetts house of representatives 1970-1971 and the State senate 1972-1984. Chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee 1977-1990. Elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-ninth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1985-January 3, 1993). Unsuccessful candidate for renomination to the One Hundred Third Congress in 1992. Is a resident of Concord, Mass.
