To amend the Public Health Service Act to strike the requirement that the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention be appointed by and with the advice and consent of the Senate.
This bill eliminates the requirement for the Senate to confirm the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (The requirement was enacted in 2022 and is currently scheduled to become effective on January 20, 2025.)
