Expressing support for the designation of the second Monday in October 2020 as "Indigenous Peoples' Day" to celebrate and honor Indigenous Peoples and their shared history and culture.
This resolution honors and recognizes the unique contributions that indigenous peoples have made to the United States. It also supports the designation of Indigenous Peoples' Day to replace Columbus Day as a federal holiday.
