This bill directs the Department of Education to award competitive grants for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) elementary and secondary school programs that:
encourage interest in the STEM fields;
motivate engagement in the STEM fields by providing relevant hands-on learning opportunities;
support classroom success in the STEM disciplines;
support STEM workforce training and career preparation for secondary school students; or
improve the access of secondary school students to STEM career and continuing education opportunities.
