Reaffirms the importance of the U.S.-Korea alliance as a linchpin in maintaining peace on the Korean Peninsula and in the greater East Asia region.

Congratulates Park Geun-Hye on her historic election to the presidency of the Republic of Korea (South Korea) and wishes her well during her tenure of leadership.
