Expresses the sense of Congress that: (1) National Survivors of Suicide Day provides a special opportunity to educate the American people about suicide and to work to prevent suicide; (2) it is appropriate to mourn the 29,000 victims of suicide each year and to praise the courage and strength of the surviving loved ones of a victim of suicide; (3) national and community organizations and private sector supporters should be recognized for their work in promoting awareness of suicide and providing treatment for depression; and (4) Congress supports the goals and ideals of National Survivors of Suicide Day.
