To provide clarification regarding the market name for bison and compliance with section 403 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, and for other purposes.
Requires labels on water buffalo meat to indicate that the product is water buffalo (not "buffalo" alone) and not American or Canadian bison in order not to be deemed misbranded under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
