To amend title 5, United States Code, to provide competitive civil service status for National Guard technicians who are involuntarily separated other than for cause from National Guard service.
Amends provisions governing awarding competitive civil service status to national guard technicians who are involuntarily separated from service by eliminating the requirements that such a person: (1) served as a technician for at least three years; and (2) passes a suitable noncompetitive examination.
