Summary

This bill would authorize the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources to designate trails for which bicycle users must purchase and display a valid nonmotorized recreational trail permit. As part of this authorization, the Department would be able to establish annual fees and daily fees for bicycle users to use the designated trails. Funds collected pursuant to the annual and daily fees will be deposited into the created nonmotorized recreational trails account. Funds from the account would be continuously appropriated to the department of state parks and cultural resources for the administration of the nonmotorized recreational trail program. The funds shall only be expended for specified purposes and uses.
