This bill would rename the Select Committee on Blockchain, Financial Technology, and Digital Innovation Technology to the Select Committee on Blockchain and Emerging Technologies. This bill would amend the Select Committee's sponsorship authority by removing the requirement that any legislation relating to Title 13 of the Wyoming statutes, relating to banks, banking, and finance, must be recommended to the Joint Minerals, Business and Economic Development Interim Committee for consideration. This bill would amend the Select Committee's purpose for introducing legislation from promoting blockchain, financial technology, and digital innovation in Wyoming to promoting Wyoming's continued leadership in the digital economy.
