AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 11, Chapter 14, Part 1, relative to state natural areas.

Summary

This bill makes the following changes and additions to designated state natural areas: (1) Increases from 16.5 to 41 the acreage of the existing Class I scenic-recreation area Ozone Falls in Cumberland County; (2) Adds a Class II natural scientific area, Clifty Creek Gorge , an 89 - acre area in Morgan County; (3) Adds a C lass II natural scientific area, Rocky Hill, a 1- acre area in Rutherford County; (4) Adds a Class II natural scientific area, Union Grove, a 5 9 - acre area in Hamblen County; (5) Adds a Class II natural scientific area, Versailles Knob , a 40- acre area in Rutherford County; (6) Renames the Class II natural scientific area Barnett's Woods in Montgomery County as "Barnett's Woods and Prairie"" and increases the acreage from 40 to 156 acres; (7) Increases from 2, 690 to 2, 754 the acreage of the Class II nat ural scientific area Cedars of Lebanon Natural Area in Wilson County; (8) Increases from 140 to 627 the acreage of the Class II natural scientific area Couchville Cedar Glade in Davidson County; (9) Increases from 846 to 928 the acreage of the Class II natural scientific area Flat Rock Cedar Glades and Barrens in Rutherford County; (10) Increases from 249 to 273 the acreage of the Class II natural scientific area Hawkins Cove in Franklin County; (11) Increases from 3, 000 to 3, 600 the acreage of the Class II natural scientific area Pogue Creek in Fentress County; (12) Increases from 1, 367 to 1, 388 the acreage of the Class II natural scientific area Radnor Lake in Davidson County; and (13) Increases from 428 to 476 the acreage of the Class II natur al scientific area William B. Clark Conservation Area in Fayette County."

This act makes appropriations for an indefinite period of time for the purpose of allocating the proceeds of the bonds and notes authorized by this act.
