ON MARCH 2, 2026, THE SENATE ADOPTED AMENDMENT #1 AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2077, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #1 clarifies that the chair of the education committee of the senate and the chair of the education committee of the house of representatives can each assign a designee to serve on the review committee for the TISA in their place. ON APRIL 2, 2026, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 2077 FOR HOUSE BILL 1735, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #2, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 2077, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #2 authorizes the chairs of the house and senate education committees to designate persons to serve in their places on the TISA review committee. This amendment authorizes designees to serve as nonvoting members of the committee. This amendme nt authorizes the committee to convene a meeting with a majority of all members present, including one or more designees, but a quorum of all voting members of the committee is required to transact any business requiring a formal vote of the committee.
