ON APRIL 9, 2026, THE HOUSE SUBSTITUTED SENATE BILL 1740 FOR HOUSE BILL 1679, ADOPTED AMENDMENT #2, AND PASSED SENATE BILL 1740, AS AMENDED. AMENDMENT #2 clarifies that the authorization for a court to place a violator on an informal adjustment or probation applies to "minors"" rather than ""youths"".
