AN ACT TO AMEND SECTIONS 37-41-3 AND 37-41-13, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD WITH THE DISCRETIONARY AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO STUDENTS WHO LIVE WITHIN ONE MILE OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO WHICH THEY ARE ASSIGNED IF CONDITIONS FOR WALKING TO SCHOOL PRESENTS A SIGNIFICANT RISK TO THE SAFETY OF THE STUDENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
