Title: An Act to Protect Private Wells from Hazardous Substances

Summary

This bill would increase ongoing Department of Environmental Protection funding by $1,000,000 in each fiscal year of the biennium for the purpose of assisting residents whose water is supplied by private wells for testing for and remediation of hazardous chemicals including perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS; installation and maintenance of PFAS filtration systems; connection to local water district networks; and provision of bottled drinking water.
