Summary

This act amends Sections 16-54-2 and 16-54-5, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the University of Montevallo Board of Trustees, to: (1) increase the board's membership from 5 to 6; (2) shorten new member's terms from 12 to 8 years; (3) establish a two-term limit for trustees appointed and confirmed after January 1, 2027; and (4) remove the requirement that the president of the board must be an educator by profession.
