Summary

This act: (1) establishes the Alabama Seagrass Restoration Task Force to facilitate developing technologies to restore seagrass ecosystems; (2) requires the task force to develop a 10-year Alabama Seagrass and Sea Oats Restoration Plan to recommend approaches and technologies to restore those ecosystems; (3) requires the task force to annually report on the plan, its findings, and proposed legislation to the Governor, Legislature, and Commissioner of Conservation and Natural Resources; and (4) designates the Dauphin Island Sea Lab as the fiscal agent for all appropriated task force funds.
