Summary

This act: (1) amends Section 15-22-20, Code of Alabama 1975, to change the date on which the terms of newly appointed members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles begin from July 1 to March 1, and provide the terms of all members serving on October 1, 2026 shall end on the last day in February following the sixth year of their term; and (2) requires an individual participating in a community punishment and corrections program who is subsequently convicted of a crime and sentenced to imprisonment to be removed from the program and placed in the custody of the Alabama Department of Corrections for the period of the individual’s imprisonment.
