Elected as a Republican to the Ninetieth and to the eight succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1967-January 3, 1985). Did not seek reelection to the Ninety-ninth Congress. Died on December 31, 2017, in Prairie Village, Kans. Remains were cremated.
